Steven K. Daury, CFP®

Steve Daury has been working in the financial services industry for three decades, all here in the Pioneer Valley, so there is a pretty good chance that he knows, and possibly even worked with, the other financial professionals on your team, such as your lawyer or accountant. At Daury Wealth Management LLC we believe clients owe it to themselves to do business with folks who have a history in the community and are also personally invested in its future.

Steve has been a Certified Financial Planner™ Professional since 1996. Prior to entering the professional world he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Siena College. He completed the CFP(r) Professional Education program in 1994 and did post graduate work at Western New England College. He holds various professional licenses.

Steve has a long history of community involvement in the Pioneer Valley including holding volunteer positions on the Boards of The Friends of the Fine Arts Center at the University of Massachusetts, Hospice of the Fisher Home, Northampton Center for the Arts and Home City Housing.

 

Jeffrey M. Siegel, Esq.

Jeff Siegel has a long and extensive history of helping clients with complex financial, estate and tax planning issues. He has earned a B.A. with High Honors from Clark University, a J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law, and an LL.M. in Taxation from the New York University School of Law. Jeff is admitted to the Massachusetts and Connecticut Bar as well as being admitted to practice before the US Tax Court and the US Supreme Court. Jeff's work experience includes acting as a Trust Officer for a major US Trust Company and as a Bank Vice President working with high net worth clients in the areas of financial and estate planning.

Jeff is a long time Western Mass resident. He has been an active member of the volunteer community serving with several non-profit organizations, including acting as a founder of the Northampton Jazz Festival. He has been an adjunct professor and lecturer at several area universities. Outside of the office, you might see Jeff playing bass in the local rock band AXIS, or you may know him as the host of his long running jazz blog and award-winning podcast, “Straight No Chaser - A Jazz Show”. 

MATTHEW CARBRAY, CFP®, CHFC®, CLU®
Owner/Managing Partner

Matthew Carbray offers comprehensive financial planning advice to individuals, families, and small business owners. Partnering with clients to define their financial priorities, short-term goals, and long-term aspirations, Matt designs comprehensive, customized, and flexible financial plans to help clients achieve their desired financial futures.
Prior to founding Ridgeline Financial Partners, Matthew began his career as a financial planner in West Springfield, MA with New England Financial in 2002 and co-founded Carbray Staunton Financial Planners, LLC, in 2006. Matthew earned a BS in financial services with a dual minor concentration in law and taxation from Bryant College in 2002 and holds the Certified Financial Planner®, Chartered Financial Consultant® and Chartered Life Underwriter® designations.  Matt has also completed coursework towards the Certified Exit Planning designation to further assist business owners with exiting their business.
Matthew has earned numerous awards and accolades throughout his career. New England Financial selected Matthew as its Best New Agent in 2002, and in 2006 awarded him an Outstanding Achievement Award and the title of Advisor of the Year. In addition, Matthew was named a Five Star Wealth Manager for overall customer satisfaction in 2012-2019 by Connecticut Magazine. He was named a winner of best Financial Advisor in the Best of Hartford Magazine 2016, 2017, 2018, as well as best financial management company in 2020. In 2013, Matthew was selected by Hartford Business Journal for inclusion in the 40 Under Forty. Matt is highly sought after for his expertise in the media and is a frequent contributor on FOX News, CT Fox 61, WTNH, WFSB, and WVIT.  
Matthew stays actively involved in his community through a number of leadership and mentorship positions. He serves as a member of the board of trustees for several organizations, including the Greater Hartford Boys and Girls Club, and the Kevin Ollie/21st Century Tolland Fund, which raises money and awareness for athletes with disabilities. In addition, Matthew is a past president and member of the Friendly Sons of Saint Patrick, the Knights of Columbus, and the Irish American Home in Glastonbury, CT.
Matthew and his wife, Shannon, currently reside in Avon with their three children Michaela, Nathan, and Rory.

 
CHRISTOPHER CONNELLY
Managing Partner/Financial Planner
Chris Connelly was born and raised in Franklin County, where he also attended school and graduated in 1993.  Upon Graduation, Chris attended and later graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst with a degree in Economics. 
After graduating from the University of Massachusetts, Chris went straight into the financial services field with the West Springfield branch of New England Financial.  Chris spent 7 years there learning the business while starting and growing his individual planning practice.  In 2004 Chris started to look outside the box of the ever-changing financial services world and ultimately made the decision to go independent.  In that same year he opened Foley/Connelly Financial Partners, LLC, also located in West Springfield.  It is here that Chris took his practice to the next level.  The independent model allows advisors to always put their clients best interest first and truly operate within an open architecture environment. 
Chris focuses his practice on financial planning, wealth management, and retirement planning, with the emphasis on working with affluent clients and closely held businesses. Having been affiliated with Kestra since going independent in 2004, Chris has found a home for himself, but more importantly, his clients, as he assists individuals and businesses in the complex world of financial planning. 
Chris holds the FINRA series 7, 63, and 66 licenses, as well as the Life, Accident, and Health licenses.
Chris resides in West Springfield with his wife Deborah, a physician assistant, his son and daughter, Liam and Campbell, as well as his stepchildren, Anthony and Grace. 
When not working with clients, Chris is an avid golfer, reader, lover of hockey and spends much of his time chasing his kids all over in their many sporting activities.  Chris is also extremely active in the community where he sits on multiple boards of local non-profits and other ongoing philanthropic causes. 

 
KEVIN REGAN, MBA, CFP®, RICP
Financial Planner

Kevin Regan focuses on establishing collaborative financial planning relationships with new and existing clients. Kevin specializes in working with our retiring clients in developing comprehensive financial plans. He maintains the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) and Retirement Income Certified Professional (RICP) designations.
Prior to joining Ridgeline Financial Partners, Kevin began his career with Barnum Financial Group in Shelton, CT. Kevin graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 2008 with a B.S. in Finance and a B.A. in Economics. During his time at the University, Kevin was also an All-American ice hockey player and a finalist for the Hobey Baker Award, given annually to the country’s top ice hockey student-athlete. Kevin also served as a teaching assistant in financial and managerial accounting, as well as an athletic department tutor for statistics.
During a brief professional hockey career, Kevin continued to pursue his educational goals. It was while completing his MBA at Abertay University in Dundee, Scotland, that he discovered a passion for personal financial planning. Kevin completed a work study program with Medical & Dental Financial Planning Services, located in Dundee, and focused his Master’s dissertation on personal financial planning. 
Kevin lives in Cheshire, CT with his wife Sarah and their four children. During his free time, Kevin stays active in the sports community. He coaches youth hockey and serves as a board member for the Connecticut Sports Management Group, which coordinates amateur athletic events across the state, including the annual Nutmeg State Games.


 
OWEN FREEMAN-DANIELS, CFA, CHFC, CASL, CFP
Financial Planner
Owen Freeman-Daniels is a financial adviser with a focus on comprehensive financial planning. He started in the financial services industry in 2001 with New England Financial, and worked on financial strategies, investments, and insurance for retirees, farmers, young families, and public employees. In 2005, Owen started his own practice called Public Employees' Retirement Insurance Services and simultaneously joined Foley/Connelly Financial Partners. Owen specializes in individualized financial plans, retirement investment portfolios, and both personal and business insurance. His specific areas of skill also include the multitude of pension systems for public employees in Massachusetts.
He graduated Magna cum laude from Amherst College with a degree in special studies (ethics). Owen was born and raised in Northampton, where he graduated from Northampton High School in 1997. Upon settling down in Northampton’s Ward 3 in 2006, Owen joined the Ward 3 Neighborhood Association and became a member of the board. Through the years he also joined other organizations like the Northampton Area Young Professionals (at the time a division of the Northampton Chamber of Commerce), the Valley Time Trade, the Northampton Education Foundation Endowment Distribution Committee, and others. His involvement with city politics began when he was asked to become the treasurer for Jesse M Adams as he ran for City Councilor At-Large. Later, Owen would run to be the Ward 3 City Councilor, a position he filled after a special election in 2011 and for a regular term thereafter. Owen served as councilor under two mayors and during the redrafting of the city’s charter.   
Owen retired from Northampton’s public life and is raising twin daughters with his wife Rachel Tischler. In his spare time he keeps a garden.

 
MEGHAN RUTHERFORD
Director, Operations & Marketing
Meghan is responsible for our client engagement, marketing, event planning and firm efficiency. She has a diverse financial services background spanning over 20 years. Most recently, Meghan was AVP of Marketing for Saybrus Partners. Prior to Saybrus, she spent six years in Austin, TX as the Director of Marketing for NFP Advisory Services, now Kestra Financial. She has also held marketing, retirement and financial planning roles with Ayco, a Goldman Sachs firm in Albany, NY. Meghan has a degree in Marketing from Siena College.
She resides in Burlington, CT with her husband Greg, their three children Kellen, Liam and Finley, and two rescue dogs. Meghan is an active member of the community, serving as President of the elementary school PTA and coaching youth soccer. In her free time, she enjoys spending time at Winding Trails, youth sports, gardening, reading and hiking with her family.  

Diane J. (Decker) Smith

Born in CT, Diane moved to CA 1981 with her family. They found their way back to New England in 1990, where she began her career in Financial Services;  She has been working with some of our clients for more than twenty-five years. Diane brings a wealth of administrative knowledge to our team, and is the recipient of an award from Kestra Investment Services, LLC (formerly known as NFP Advisor Services, LLC) for her superior knowledge and client services.

Diane is a resident of Amherst.  She has three grown children, and three grandsons.  In her spare time, you could find her at Northampton Wools, where she teaches a weekly knitting class. 

 

EMILY NORMANDIN
Client Services Manager
Emily began her career in financial services at AXA Advisors’ Retirement Benefits Group in Wellesley, MA where she worked primarily with school teachers and staff. After which she moved to West Hartford and joined Retirement Visions where she focused on 401(k) retirement plans and investment analysis. Emily graduated from Bentley University with a B.S. in Corporate Finance and Accounting.  
In her role at Ridgeline, she handles client engagement, data gathering and client service. She is currently working through the Certified Financial Planner program and hopes to have her CFP designation next year.  
Emily lives in West Hartford, CT and in her free time likes to go for a run, listen to podcasts or enjoy a good book. 

 
ESMERALDA PASSANISI
Client Service Representative
Esmeralda Passanisi handles all firm-level and client operations for Ridgeline Financial Partners, managing everything from customer service to processing new business to maintaining client and compliance files. With more than 20 years of experience in the financial and insurance industries, Esmeralda brings a wealth of industry know-how to Ridgeline Financial Partners.
Prior to taking on her current operations responsibilities, Esmeralda worked for seven years in a similar role at Carbray Staunton Financial Partners. She has also worked for Phoenix Life Insurance, MetLife, and New England Financial. Her experience is invaluable to the success of Ridgeline Financial Partners.
Outside of the office, Esmeralda enjoys spending time with her husband and their three children. She also likes working in her garden and reading a good book.
